It is VITALLY important to be courteous to people. Thoughtlessness, brusqueness, insufficient appreciation when someone has made an effort to be helpful - these are all deeply and profoundly hurtful, and unacceptable. They are also rarely the best way to get something out of someone incidentally; not that this is the point.
Do I fall short myself sometimes? Certainly.
But there are going to be a few changes around here. My tolerance of rudeness - towards myself and people I care about - is henceforth going to be Absolute Zero. And no-one in my life gets a free pass, no matter who they are.

I find the piano immensely restful emotionally, but also a technical and mental challenge. That is the key to harmony of the soul - not trying to switch off or tune out.
I'll try to post more often. Perhaps missives can be shorter and sweeter for a bit. That's better than not posting at all.
Also, various friends are trying to get me to join Facebook. I'm reluctant, but it may well happen.
